Baba, Lopy, Mendes and César Montes given international call-ups
UD Almería are enduring injury turmoil ahead of a week in which there will be no league action as another international break has been planned throughout the domestic season
International breaks, which are planned throughout the domestic season as Euro 2024 qualifying continues, always come thick and fast once the LaLiga EA Sports season gets underway.
Baba (Ghana), Lopy (Senegal), Mendes (Guinea Bissau) and César Montes (Mexico) have received international duty calls.
Meanwhile, UD Almería are also enduring an injury turmoil due to the long-term crocked Marc Pubill, Luis Suárez and Koné, in addition to Marezi and Šviderský. A total of 9 key absences to cope with while waiting for Alex Centelles' comeback, who is nearing the end of his recovery process.
Head coach Gaizka Garitano will have no choice but to deal over a couple of weeks with an attacking injury crisis apart from the internationals' absences ahead of the next official fixture. Until Saturday, 25th November, the Rojiblancos will not be kitted out again. On that date (Matchday 14), they are visiting Getafe CF.
This period without league action will serve to continue improving mental toughness towards the path that leads to winning ways. The Internationals are expected to arrive in Almería on 22-23 November.
The Rojiblancos, who will have an active recovery session this Sunday, will rest on Monday. Then, football practices have been scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Next weekend will also be useful to take their ease and recharge their batteries for the next appointment in Getafe.
