Arvin Appiah to undergo surgery following abdominal pain

The Rojiblanco player will be operated on in the next few hours at Quirónsalud Hospital in Marbella

Arvin Appiah, a UD Almería player, is going to undergo surgery in the next few hours following abdominal pain at the Quirónsalud Hospital in Marbella, the town where the team have been taking part in their pre-season preparations since 1st September.

The English right-winger had to be hospitalised after experiencing abdominal discomfort and after the corresponding tests, it has been decided to operate on him, as explained by Dr. Diego Portugal, coordinator of the club's medical services. The Doctor has been with the player at all times and in close contact with the doctors working at Quirónsalud Hospital in Marbella.

The operation is actually not serious; in fact, the 19-year-old player is feeling alright and in good spirits. The recovery time is expected to be approximately one month.
