Arnau Puigmal moves on loan to Elche CF

Agreement reached between both clubs and the central midfielder to play for the Elicitanos until the end of the current season. There is also an option-to-buy clause in his deal

UD Almería central midfielder Arnau Puigmal will move on loan until the end of the current season to second-tier side Elche CF after the agreement reached between both clubs and the footballer. There is also an option-to-buy clause which Elche CF could exercise.

Arnau Puigmal has a contract with UD Almería until 2026 after he arrived at the Andalusian Club in the past 2021/22 campaign signing for 5 years. In his first season as a Rojiblanco, the 23-year-old contributed to promotion to the Primera Division, featuring in a total of 33 league games in which he netted 5 goals and produced 4 assists. In addition, Arnau also played in a Copa del Rey tie. Last season competing in the top tier of Spanish football, the central midfielder was lined up in 23 games, 22 official league fixtures and 1 Spanish Cup tie. In the current season, the Barcelona-born also played in the Copa del Rey tournament and in 12 LaLiga EA Sports matches, starting in 4 of them. 

Arnau Puigmal would like to get more regular starts and after the offers that the Club and the footballer had received, they have finally agreed on his transfer to Elche CF, with whom he will fight for promotion to the first division. 

UD Almería wishes him the best of luck and praises the player for his professionalism and total commitment to UD Almeria, with whom he has been training until this past Tuesday, when he said goodbye to his team-mates and coaching staff members before travelling to Elche.
