Aridane joins UD Almería to bolster backline

The experienced defender brings over 370 games of professional pedigree to the Rojiblancos

UD Almería have completed the signing of Aridane, a 36-year-old centre-back who will bring experience and leadership to the defensive system. His track record speaks for itself. He has made over 370 professional appearances; 124 of them in the top tier and 87 in the second tier of Spanish football. 

The new addition has played for Rayo Vallecano for the last 2 seasons and for the previous 6 seasons he played for CA Osasuna after playing for Cádiz CF.

Aridane, who arrives as a free agent player is a powerful centre-back, performs very well in the air at 1.88m and also plays well out of the back. He shows off his talent on the pitch.

Aridane Hernández Umpiérrez was born on 23 March 23, 1989 in the town of Tuineje, Fuerteventura. He soon left the Canary Islands to join the youth teams of Real Valladolid CF, Real Madrid CF and English giants Liverpool FC. After spells at various clubs such as AD Ceuta, Deportivo Alavés and CD Eldense, he began to establish himself at Cádiz CF, where he earned promotion to the Segunda and remained among the elite.
