Appiah, who was operated on following abdominal pain during the pre-season training camp in Marbella, has already been discharged from hospital. He visited his team-mates at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium, after recovering for a few days at home.
The young English footballer, who finished brilliantly last season, and also had started pre-season training with strength, has experienced how this unexpected setback left him on the treatment table. The 19-year old player will soon begin a gentle exercise programme on the sidelines to see how he copes upon his return into the fold, since he will have to take it easy before getting back in action.
