Andalusian and local Government support UD Almeria and UDA Supporters Federation
The National Congress of Supporters Clubs was officially presented with the presence of the Almeria authorities, sponsors and Fan Clubs
The Supporters Clubs National Congress to be held in Almería city on 24/25/26 June 2022 with the attendance of around 800 supporters clubs from all the Spanish Primera and Segunda Division teams, was officially presented this Wednesday at the box for distinguished persons at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium. The Andalusian and local Government have recognised UD Almeria Supporters Clubs Federation and the Club on their management and hard work; Almería authorities, sponsors and representatives of the UDA Supporters clubs, as well as the leader of Aficiones Unidas, which includes the federations of supporters clubs of all the teams have attended the event.
Mayor of Almeria Ramón Fernández Pacheco did not hesitate to underline that ‘2022 is the year of hope. We have to congratulate ourselves for having organised this National Congress for UD Almería thanks to the work of the UDA Supporters Clubs Federation and its president, Mónica Ruiz; but this year should also let us to dream of UD Almería and also of its project to remodel the Stadium. If UD Almería do well, it's positive for the city, for the province and for all the people of Almería.’
Javier Aureliano García, president of the Diputación de Almeria (Provincial Council of Almeria), stressed ‘we all have to ensure that the National Congress of Supporters Clubs, which is going to be a great opportunity to promote the province of Almeria, is the best of all those held to date.’ He also pointed out ‘Mohamed El Assy and his team have managed to promote the club in all aspects and it’s a solid and exciting project, like the Congress that is taking place in June.’
Meanwhile, Junta de Andalusia Delegate for Culture Eloisa Cabrera commented that the event of supporters clubs from all over Spain ‘can be held with the UD Almería team already promoted to Primera Division,’ and did not hesitate to state ‘for me, it is an honour to be able to represent the Junta de Andalucía in this event because of what the Congress will represent for the city, for the province and also for our region.’
UDA Supporters Federation Mónica Ruiz expressed her deep sense of gratitude for the Andalusian and local government, sponsors and the Club for their loyal support after giving them a helping hand.
The event came to an end with UD Almería Director General Mohamed El Assy congratulating the UDA Supporters Clubs Federation for being chosen as the next venue to host this National Congress. At the same time, he thanked the Andalusian government institutions and sponsors warmly for their collaboration. The Rojiblancos’ leader stressed ‘the UDA Supporters Clubs and the fans are our motivation as they’re the heart and soul of every club. We’re with you. All together, we’ll make this congress a success’ …and as Eloisa Cabrera hoped: ‘it could be celebrated with the team already promoted to the top flight.’
Moreover, Almería City Council councillors Carlos Sánchez and Juanjo Segura and Provincial Deputies Fernando Giménez, Manuel Guzmán and José Antonio Alcaina, as well as representatives of the sponsoring companies such as Cajamar Bank (Eduardo Pla and José Antonio Picón), Urci Hormigones (Domingo Salmerón), CASI and Autocares Ramón del Pino (Isabel del Pino) were also present at the event.
