The head coach wants his squad to keep up the great work done last season. Trial day to be held on Tuesday, 12 July.

Álvaro García Búrdalo remains as UD Almería Women head coach ahead of the 2022/23 season. He wants his team to keep up the good work as they broke records in the previous campaign. Alvaro spoke happily about his contract extension to the Club's official media and explained that the new project is based on 'taking all the many good things that helped the team grow last season.' On that note he added: 'We want to stay on the right track after the deal renewals of players and the coaching staff to continue working on the same idea.'

There might be last minute changes within the UD Almería Women squad ahead of the new season that starts on the weekend of 11 September. 'Getting the new signings right' to join the existing squad is the head coach's plan. At the moment, the renewal of skipper Anita has been made official as well as the re-signing of Nadia López, who returns to the side after having played for Cádiz Women. Likewise, In the coming days, more names that will make up the squad will be announced.

On another note, Marta Paz, Sarita and Flores will not continue in the team. The Club wishes them all good luck in their future footballing careers and thanks them for their great work and full commitment. The first step, already on the field of play, will be a trial day that UD Almería Women host at 8pm (CEST) on Tuesday, 12 July at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium . Players from 15 years of age, who don't have contracts with other clubs for the 2022/23 campaign, have the possibility to pre-register by sending their personal details to the email luis@udalmeriasad.com.

'We'll make the most if this trial day, which was held last year when I was head coach of the 'B' team and it was really useful to build the second squad. Both Chelo (confirmed as the new head coach of the 'B' team) and I will supervise this event,' underlined the head coach during his friendly conversation with the Club's official media.

UD Almería head coach Álvaro García Búrdalo concluded: 'We're eager to return to the training routine, to have a good season and to prepare ourselves very well for the great competitive challenges that we'll be facing this year.'
