Unavailable players and injury recoveries ahead of Córdoba CF match
International players return to the fold as they rejoin the squad. Horta set for extended absence
UD Almería are back in training this week as they prepare for Sunday’s away match against Córdoba CF at the Bahrain Victorious Nuevo Arcángel Stadium, kicking off at 6:30pm (Spanish Time).
Following a recovery session on Sunday and a two-day rest period on Monday and Tuesday, the first training session of the week was marked by several notable absences and some important injury updates.
Three of the Club’s four international players have returned to the fold: Bruno Iribarne (Spain U21), Stefan Dzodic (Serbia U21) and Perović (Montenegro), while Soko (Cameroon) is expected to rejoin the squad in the coming hours.
A major setback for UD Almería comes in the form of André Horta, who has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in his right quadriceps. The midfielder is expected to be sidelined for 2-3 weeks, depending on his recovery progress. Horta picked up the injury after an awkward kick in the final training session before the match against Real Zaragoza.
Selvi, who was omitted from last Saturday’s squad list due to muscle discomfort, has resumed light training on the pitch and could be available for the Córdoba CF match if his progress continues without issues.
Meanwhile, Nelson Monte has been undergoing tailored training sessions as part of his regular routine, with no immediate concerns over his fitness.
Defender Alex Muñoz will miss the upcoming match due to a one-match suspension following an accumulation of yellow cards.
UD Almería will have three more behind-closed-doors training sessions before heading to Córdoba city by road on Saturday afternoon.
