Almería’s training sessions suspended, yet players have personal training schedules away from base

The UD Almeria first team will not exercise at the collective level. Next Sunday, it will be decided what to do in the future

The UD Almería first squad, who had planned to resume training on Tuesday, 17th March, have decided to suspend all training at the collective level, and next Sunday, 22nd March, they will make a decision on what to do in the future based on any official communication from LaLiga, the Spanish Government or the health authorities.

This decision has been adopted by the club's medical services along with the head coach, José María Gutiérrez and after consulting with the team's captains and those in charge of the entity in accordance with the Spanish government, who formally declared a state of emergency over the coronavirus, placing the country in lockdown and ordering people to stay at home for the next two weeks.

The players do have personal training schedules away from base. It is a blueprint that has left every player with a personal training programme to be undertaken in private, while the injured footballers who are having a course of treatment, have also been given clear guidelines on some specific workouts based on the injuries they suffer.

At the same time, all the members of the staff have been instructed not to travel outside of Almería and to stay at home, as they were told last Thursday when the practice was suspended on Friday.

On the other hand, all the other club teams will not train either and have suspended their collective activity.

The club offices and the official store remain closed until further notice. UD Almeria have opted for teleworking, all departments being in permanent connection, as well as with LaLiga (LFP) and the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
