Almeria Women shocked by 3-0 by Extremadura in Almendralejo

The rojiblancas lost the game against Extremadura, although they did not stop fighting until the final whistle

Almeria Women shocked by 3-0 by Extremadura in the town of Almendralejo. As a result, the Rojiblancas had to bite the bullet having many girls out of action on that fixture. Additionally, the girls never stopped fighting until the final whistle in the match of the Primera National League.

It was not until the 30th minute, when our adversaries went ahead on the scoreboard. Lorena was able to untie the initial nil-nil by finishing a goal from within the 18-yard box after a free-kick. This fact spurred Carlos Hinojo’s side to double their efforts so as to find the equalizer, being superior to their rivals in the last stages of the first-half and at the beginning of the second-half. As a result, Almeria had created several chances with Nadia, but they failed to find the net. Extremadura defended deep, exploited half spaces and scored two well-worked goals from set-pieces. The good performance of the Extremadura’s keeper was decisive to avoid the goal.
