Almería Women get back on the pitch at last!

The Almeria women’s team, who will start competing in October, have to comply with a series of health and safety measures over Covid-19

Primera Division Nacional (First National Division of women's football in Spain) will begin this season on 18th October, as it has been announced by RFEF (Spanish Football Federation). A total of 109 teams split into seven groups will participate this campaign.

The Rojiblanco team, led by coach Carlos Hinojo, have already started full-squad training and at last, jumped on the Jerónimo Rodríguez pitch located in Benahadux; it is a football training ground that will be used temporarily since as from next month the coaching staff will be able to carry out these training sessions at Los Molinos and Zapillo neighbourhoods football grounds, as granted by Patronato (Municipal Sports Board).

Mr. Carlos Hinojo stated that ‘we started a new season full of enthusiasm, not only because we had not jumped on the pitch for 6 months, but also because the team that have been created can’t wait to have a great year.’
