Almería Women eager to collect three away points in Badajoz
The Rojiblancas face the third-placed side this Saturday at 5,00 p.m. (CET). The girls from Almería remain eighth in the table
The UD Almería women's team, after last weekend’s defeat to Real Betis Women ‘B’, are due to face a challenging trip to Badajoz, where they will look for a positive result and get back to winning ways. The Primera Nacional Matchday-17 fixture takes place at Campos Federativos de San Roque (kick-off 5,00 p.m. CET).
Almeria Women’s rivals currently occupy the third position within the league. The Badajoz-based team have been a clear candidate from the start of the competition to earn promotion to higher division LaLiga Reto, which only goes to prove the high level shown in their matches, despite the defeat suffered on their previous matchday.
UD Almería Women have been building the awareness of sticking to the idea of hard work that propelled them to the eighth spot. Despite losing 0-2 to Real Betis Women ‘B’, the Indalicas made it difficult to the current leaders by displaying a performance that was nothing if not brilliant.
‘We’re going to Badajoz with the idea of returning to winning ways. Regardless of the result, I think we’re doing a good job and we have to continue with the same idea,’ were the words that UD Almeria Women coach Agustín Sánchez highlighted during a conversation with UDA Radio.
The journey to Badajoz is one of the longest this season, so that the Rojiblancas travelling contingent have set off for Extremadura this Friday afternoon. CD Badajoz Women and UD Almería Women will be battling it out at in the Campos Federativos San Roque on Saturday, 27 February (kick-off 5,00 p.m. CET)
