Almería will face Atlético de Madrid at Wanda to complete their pre-season friendlies

The Rojiblancos returned from Marbella. The squad will be off work this Thursday and on Saturday, practice match against Atlético de Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano

Almería are now entering the final stretch of their pre-season preparations. As from Monday, the squad will focus on their LaLiga SmartBank opening away game against CD Lugo; it will be the third matchday of the championship, although the first for the Rojiblancos. Their participation in the play-off for promotion to Primera justifies this late start, as they have needed more time to perform the pre-season.

Almeria have ended their 16-day training camp in Marbella, where in addition to training intensively, they have played 5 friendlies against Espanyol, Betis, Cádiz, Badajoz and Balompédica Linense. They returned mid-afternoon this Wednesday from Marbella and the players will have a day off on Thursday. The team will get back to exercising in a morning training session on Friday at Juegos Mediterraneos.

Pre-season comes to its late conclusion for Almeria. On Saturday, the side will put an end to their pre-season with the last friendly against top-flight club Atlético de Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano with the appointment’s kick-off set for 5 p.m. CET. The Rojiblancos will make a one-day round-trip flying charter. On Sunday, day off again before on Monday, the squad and coaching team will be turning their attention to their forthcoming LaLiga SmartBank opening match, as aforementioned.
