Almeria U19 ‘A’ wrap up first win of season

The Division de Honor outfit thrash Jovenes Promesas Melilla 4-0. Almeria U19 ‘B’ win by the same score and the rest of the Academy sides season gets underway

UD Almeria Under-19s ‘A’ wrapped up their first win of the season in Division de Honor (Group IV) in a match with the young homegrown players being far superior to the Jovenes Promesas Melilla. In fact, since the off, possession and arrivals at the opposite goal were led by the Almeria Academy side. First-half goals from Andrés, Hugo and Abel as well as second-half goal scored by Yepes secured their 4-0 victory.

That same result was achieved by Almeria Under-19s ‘B’, who are topping the Group XIII table in Liga Nacional for the time being. One more weekend, the squad led by Alberto Lasarte put in a brilliant performance, taking all three points against Fuengirola thanks to Montes’ brace and goals courtesy of Migue and Rachad.

One victory and one defeat for the under-16s teams. The positive result was obtained by Almeria U16 'A' in Division de Honor Cadete (U16). The teenage Rojiblancos had to travel all the way to Nervion to end up beating CD Antonio Puerta (0-2). On the other hand, Almeria U16 ‘B’ finished the day on the losing side despite their greater equality (6-2).

As for the Under-14s, the two teams played their opening games. Both sides of Academy products lived their first experiences in leagues higher than those they were in the previous campaign. Almeria U14 ‘A’ enjoyed the first day of the newly created league Division de Honor Infantil (U14) against Málaga. It could have been anybody’s game, but the boys from Malaga found a way to be more successful (2-0). Regarding Almeria U14 ‘B’, the Rojiblancos fell to a 1-2 defeat against Pavia on home turf.

Another of the Academy outfits that started the league last weekend Almeria U12. The youngest UD Almería footballers also made their debut in the new Division de Honor Alevín (U12), which is an autonomous category, defending the Los Angeles Sports Complex ground during the visit of CD Alevín. In general, a great role was played by the Rojiblancos until they picked up three points after their opponents took a severe drubbing (7-3)
