Almeria U19 ‘A’ were denied victory in added time

San Felix recovered from 2 goals down including a late equaliser to take a share of the spoils with the Rojiblancos. The adversaries of Almeria U19 ‘B’ drew level with controversy

Things did not work out as planned for UD Almería Under-19s ‘A’. One more day, football was not fair with the Division of Honor homegrown players when the final score was two-all after the Indalicos had previously made a sensational effort to clinch the victory. The score at halftime was 0-2 with goals from Abel and Palomino, however, San Félix staged a brilliant comeback in the second period and to top it all, the late equaliser was found in added time to take a share of the spoils within 91 minutes.

As for UD Almeria Under-19s ‘B’, the young boys felt for the first time what it is like not to win in Liga Nacional after the controversial decider at the end of the Almeria derby against La Cañada (1-1). With 15 minutes gone, Alberto Lasarte’s squad had to fight more than necessary when one of the Rojiblancos was told to leave the pitch by the ref. Despite this setback, the lads from UD Almeria played better and achieved 1-0 through Rachad, who has scored 3 goals in 3 games so far. Almería Under19-s ‘B’ were close to getting the W, yet a more than dubious penalty led to a late equaliser that ruled out the Rojiblancos’ opener.

The two Almeria U16 outfits added two victories for the UD Almeria Academy! In the first place, U16 ‘A’ dominated Recreativo de Huelva in an evenly matched game. There were scoring opportunities created by both sides until the final whistle confirmed the Rojiblancos 1-2 victory over their opponents. On the other hand, Almeria Under-19s ‘B’ showed their authority from the off, hitting their adversaries for six goals (6-0).

Two remarkable triumphs were also achieved by the Almeria Under-14s sides, while the U14 ‘A’ teenagers beat Tiro Pichon 1-2 away from home, U14 ‘B’ defeated Caroliense at the Los Angeles Sports Complex. On another note, the only defeat of the weekend was suffered by the youngest ones as Almeria U12 took on competitive, tough rivals Úbeda Viva, who bagged all 3 points (1-3).
