Almeria U19 ‘A’ slow out of the traps and fall to a 0-2 defeat against Granada

Almeria U19 ‘B’ achieve their third back-to-back victory to sit at the top of the Liga Nacional table

Almeria Under-19s ‘A’ fell to a 0-2 defeat against Granada in a match that was decided in the opening minutes as a result of two specific moments that would confirm a bad start for the Rojiblancos.

After the win achieved a week before over Jóvenes Promesas Melilla, Juan Carlos Cintas's boys hosted the Nazari Academy team, but as mentioned above, there were two plays in which the young Indálicos were down on their luck. After 4 minutes came an own goal, while shortly after the final 0-2 was produced with a penalty shot.

Once the home team doubled their lead, the contest was rather balanced with both teams creating chances. However, the lads from Almeria did not find the way to the goal, confirming the defeat of Almeria U19 ‘A’.

The victory within the Academy Under-19s groups was clinched by the Liga Nacional team. Alberto Lasarte’s side beat Atarfe 0-2 away from home, this being the third time in a row that the Rojiblancos emerged victorious from the field. This situation has allowed the team to sit at the top of the table.

Both Almeria Under-16s sides were proud of their wins too. The Under-16 ‘A’ happy chappies tore Altair apart (6-0) after a relentless performance, while Almeria U16 'B' opened his record of triumphs by beating La Mojonera 3-0 at the de Los Angeles Sports Complex.

With regard to UD Almeria next generation young, the Under14’s ‘A’ teenagers could not go beyond the goalless draw against Sevilla after a highly competitive match that was a lottery. Meanwhile, it was a narrow loss for Almeria U14s ‘B’ on their trip to visit Ciudad de Granada (1-0).

Who wrapped up a new victory? Almeria U12s staged a superb comeback against CD El Ejido to take all three points home following a great job from the youngest UDA Academy players (3- 5).
