Almeria take a breather and get moving on an active recovery day

The players are physically and mentally tired, so that they did not go out on the pitch. This Tuesday, training session at Juegos Mediterraneos

Almería took a breather this Monday with active recovery workouts on the indoor warm-up track at Juegos Mediterráneos and in the weight room that the club has in the premises.

Not surprisingly, the footballers are physically and mentally tired, and therefore they have chosen not to go out on the pitch in order to cool down and get moving on a day off from hard training. It was a smooth and short session including low-intensity exercises.

Bear in mind that the team continue to train despite the fact that on 20th July they played their last fixture against Malaga and there are still no dates scheduled for the play-off for promotion to the Spanish top flight. There has been no time to chill out and with the arrival of the new Portuguese head coach, José Gomes, the preparation has been much more intense, including last weekend.

On 10th July 2019, more than a year ago and almost thirteen months, Almería started the preseason of the 2019/20 campaign that has not yet come to an end, and on top of that 2020/21 is upon us without knowing anything yet about the play-offs. As a consequence, players are understandably worn out. However, the squad will exercise on the main pitch at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium on Tuesday.
