Almería resume training after testing negative for coronavirus

The Rojiblancos have new tests for COVID-19 before starting preparations this Thursday

UD Almeria can today confirm that players and club staff, who were tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday afternoon, have tested negative after one person tested positive in the previous tests carried out. As a consequence, the first-team squad, with the express permission of LaLiga, are preparing to resume training on Thursday evening (7,30 p.m.). Previously, the team will undergo new tests, as a precaution. The member of staff, who tested positive, is staying home in quarantine and in good health.

UD Almería informed both Patronato Municipal de Deportes (City Sports Board), who manages the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium (disinfected on Wednesday), and the Almería health authorities, who at all times have been in close collaboration with the club. For that reason, the Rojiblanco club would like to thank them publicly for their wholehearted support.

Almería, at the request of LaLiga, will implement a series of measures during training, such as not using changing rooms and avoiding exercises in pairs, amongst other prevention measures.
