Almería presents the stadium remodelling project
The club meets with the mayor to provide all the documentation in order to obtain the concession of the municipal facility
UD Almería has presented to the City Council the remodelling project of the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium and all the relevant documentation to obtain the administrative concession of this sports venue from the municipal institution in order to carry out the ambitious redevelopment work at Mediterraneo.
The top executive officers of UD Almería, the managing director Mohamed El Assy, and the organisation and operations director Mostafa Yilmaz, have represented the Rojiblanco club, accompanied by the head of AJCC Construcciones (construction company) Antonio Jesús Cervantes Caparrós, the person in charge of the project, as well as Oscar Muñoz, from Crealia (lawyers and consultants).
The mayor of Almería, Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, and the Sports Councillor, Juan José Segura, and employees from (Patronato) the Municipal Sports Board attended the meeting held at the Mayor's Office. The meeting, in which the foundations have been laid, has been certainly long, so that Almería can develop its ambitious stadium remodelling project.
It must be taken into account that the lockdown implemented as a result of the coronavirus pandemic delayed this initiative. Now the club awaits the approval from the City Council to start the activity, although before the project and all the documentation presented have to be reviewed by the council technicians and meet a series of administrative deadlines.
