Almería participate in the virtual tournament ‘eLaLiga Santander’ for the first time ever

The Rojiblancos will be represented by ‘Ralfitita’ and a player chosen in the draft on Monday, 11 Jan. Almeria debut on 13 January

UD Almería participate for the first time in eLaLiga Santander virtual tournament, the EA SPORTS FIFA 21 official competition in Spain, organised by LaLiga and Electronics Arts. The Almeria team make their debut next Wednesday, 13 January, at 6:00 p.m. (Spain Time), against Real Sociedad. Shortly after, Espanyol de Barcelona will be their adversaries at 10:00 p.m. (Spain Time).

Ralfitita’, player of the Qlash eSports Spain Club, will be in charge of representing the Rojiblancos during this exciting tournament, a gamer who has been champion of Spain 8 times. In addition, the Indáicos will have another participant who will be picked out in the draft that is taking place on Monday, 11 January.

The type of competition is based on two weekly games, with the FIFA 21 video game for the PlayStation 4 being the chosen one. Therefore, with its start on Wednesday, 13 January, the games of the regular phase will last until 21 April, 2021. In this regard, the Almeria players have been included in group ‘B’ together with Mirandés, Real Zaragoza, Levante, Atlético de Madrid, Huesca, Osasuna, Espanyol, Granada, Real Sociedad, Castellón, Girona, Leganés, Málaga, Alavés, Valencia, Logroñés, Real Oviedo and Sporting.

The virtual games can be followed on the eLaLiga Santander Twitch, YouTube profiles and one of the games will be aired on Movistar.
