Almeria have been notified of their negative COVID-19 PCR test results

The team decide not to train this Thursday for prevention and resume preparations on Friday evening

Almería have tested negative in the PCR tests that the players underwent last Wednesday, 5th August, after one person tested positive for COVID-19 last Monday. The club followed the health and safety protocol of LaLiga and CSD (National Sports Council), even though they had planned to conduct a training session on Thursday afternoon. However, the club medical services and the coaching staff have decided to cancel training, as a preventive measure.

Given that Almería have also undergone new PCR tests this Thursday, it has been decided to wait for the results that will be notified on Friday morning, and then resume training in the evening. In this way, for the footballers piece of mind, training tomorrow means security, calmness and guarantee.

On the other hand, the two people who tested positive remain in quarantine at home; both of them are in good health. UD Almería keep the health authorities, Patronato (Municipal Sports Board), CSD (National Sports Council) and RFEF (Spanish Football Federation) informed at all times. The club also maintain regular and direct communication with LaLiga.
