Almería Genuine set out on a journey full of hope!

The UDA Foundation team is heading to Tarragona. Good luck wishes from first-team head coach Rubi and Almeria ‘B’ player Andrei

UD Almería Genuine are on their way to Tarragona, a Catalan city where LaLiga Genuine Santander is kicking off this Saturday and Sunday. It has been 600 days without being able to organise the tournament created by LaLiga Foundation, however a relaxation of public health measures in Spain has allowed the group of talented players with intellectual disabilities to return to the pitch wearing the jerseys of their Club.

It was at 9am this morning, when the UDA Foundation team experienced moments of emotion and enthusiasm as first team head coach Rubi and Almeria ‘B’ youngster Andrei accompanied the players before getting on the bus that would drop them off at the Malaga-Costa del Sol airport so they can catch their flight to Barcelona.

UD Almería Genuine will share the experience of LaLiga Genuine Santander with Cádiz, Málaga and Mallorca, clubs that will be their adversaries during a weekend with plenty of football, hope and of course, fun!
