Almería focused exclusively on ball-work ahead of Spanish Copa del Rey
Tactical aspects were the main focus at the Anexo before playing host to Alavés. The players have every hope of qualifying for the next round
Almería continue with their preparation for the Spanish Copa del Rey tie against Alavés scheduled for next Saturday. The squad exercised at their training base, the Anexo training ground in a tactical training session. Gomes and his coaching team have rehearsed different drills on ball-work, pressing and agility. It is an especially beneficial week due to the number of training sessions that can be conducted considering that the footballers continue growing both defensively and offensively.
It is not unusual to have three consecutive home games; in addition to the cup tie, the Rojiblancos first team will later have two league fixtures ahead -Sabadell and Castellón- that will be played consecutively at the Juegos Mediterráneo Stadiums. As a consequence, it would be of the utmost importance to turn the Rojiblancos football pitch into a ‘fort’.
The senior team squad is taking part in one more football practice on Wednesday at 10.30 a.m. (Spain Time)
