UD Almería set for veteran charity match against FC Barcelona
Tribute to Guillermo Blanes and charity event scheduled for 24 January at the UD Almería Stadium
UD Almería will host a veterans’ match against FC Barcelona on 24 January at the UD Almería Stadium in honour of Guillermo Blanes, one of the Club’s founding members. The charity event, aimed at raising funds for a good cause, will be a special occasion for fans and former players alike.
Tickets for the match are priced at €10 and are available for purchase at Blanes stores. Additionally, tickets can be bought on the day of the match near the Stadium before the LaLiga Hypermotion derby between UD Almería and Granada CF on Saturday.
Members of the Rojiblancos veterans and the organizing committee will be selling tickets around the Stadium entrances and in the fan zone for anyone interested in attending the event.
While the list of players is still to be confirmed, UD Almería have hinted that former stars like Pablo Piatti, Aleix Vidal, and Chico Flores could return to don the UD Almería jersey for the match. Piatti, in particular, has been active in veterans' games and still resides in Almería, along with his former team-mates.
A press conference will soon be held to provide further details about the upcoming event and players set to participate.
