Almeria ‘B’ want to return to winning ways against Atlético Malagueño

Óscar Fernández’s side will be playing their only Tercera Division RFEF derby this Sunday (KO 12 noon Spain Time)

UD Almería ‘B’ visit the Málaga CF ‘B’ team at the Federación Malagueña de Fútbol Sports Complex this Sunday for a 12 noon kick-off. Four points separate the two teams who are the only ‘B’ teams in Group IX. This youth squads derby seems complicated, as fierce rivalry and competitiveness will grow between two teams with players of high technical quality.

The young Rojiblancos will go into the match on the back of a goalless draw at home against UD San Pedro, a match that the players led by Óscar Fernández dominate in spite of not making the most of their shooting accuracy. This was actually the second consecutive draw for Almeria ‘B’, since they shared the spoils in another visit to El Palo.

Taking into account that fixtures will be coming thick and fast for UD Almería ‘B’, the Academy hopefuls are aware of the importance of going all out to be back to winning ways against Atlético Malagueño because that would not allow them to get away from the VIP zone of the table with CF Motril as current leaders, who are only 3 points ahead of the Indalicos.

Head coach Óscar Fernández will not announce the squad list yet. The UD Almeria first team are playing this Saturday so it is highly likely that all the young players are available.
