Almeria ‘B’ visit Mancha Real with the leadership at stake

The homegrown players, who will play a postponed game due to Covid-19, would lead the table in case of victory

The UD Almería ‘B’ visit Atlético Mancha Real in order to play the first match of the second half of the championship, which was postponed as a result of Covid-19. The homegrown players have the great possibility of leading group IX ‘A’ in the fourth tier Tercera Division, as long as they achieve victory.

Fernando Santos’ boys, as they have reported during the week, are fully aware of the importance of this match due to the fact that it could be a great step towards the objective of playing, with a good number of points, the promotion phase to the third tier Segunda Division RFEF, future denomination of the Segunda Division ‘B’.

The Academy team head coach will not announce the squad list in advance, but it is worth highlighting that Aitor Puñal, due to the accumulation of yellow cards, and Jordi Escobar, who was sent off following a red card in the clash against Loja, will miss out on the involvement in the game.

Almería ‘B’ are due to get into the game with the firm intention of displaying the good performance from last weekend to triumph. In addition, the next adversaries are one of the most balanced teams in Tercera Division, who also have options to reach the top if they manage to bag all three points.

This match will serve to update the table standings and that none of those involved in the VIP zone have any league commitment to be fulfilled. In a nutshell, Mancha Real and UD Almería ‘B’ play on La Juventud pitch on Sunday at 12,30 p.m. (CET).
