Almeria ‘B’ looking to defend their lead against Atlético de Porcuna
The youngsters visit the Jaén-based team on Saturday with the intention of preserving the lead atop the table
The UD Almería ‘B’ team are looking to defend their group IX ‘A’ lead away from home against Atlético de Porcuna on Saturday (kick-off 5:00 p.m. CET), after going top of the Tercera Division tournament last week.
If Almeria ‘B’ do not want to miss the second half of the campaign that leads to promotion to Segunda Division RFEF, they cannot afford any defeat. All of the Almeria second team boys have been working with the intensity that such important events require to complete the first half of the competition on a good note.
As for the outs, Fernando Santos 'Nandinho' will not announce the squad list in advance, however it is worth highlighting that Fermín, who is completing his two-game suspension, as well as peer Sergio Sanchís, sent off against Torredonjimeno following a straight red card, and Ricardo Carvalho, due to accumulation of yellow cards, will be out of action.
Atlético de Porcuna, meanwhile, are fighting to escape the relegation zone, although they have already proven to be a competitive team throughout the season, especially when they play at home…so that UD Almería ‘B’ will have to be focused on what happens on the pitch to remain top of the Tercera Division Group IX ‘A’ table with just four league commitments left with above-mentioned Atletico de Porcuna, Real Jaén, Huétor Vega and Torreperogil to close out this first phase.
