Almeria ‘B’ back in action after two-week hiatus

The homegrown players host Loja, who are the current runners-up, on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. CET at the Anexo

The UD Almería ‘B’ team are back in action after experiencing a two-week hiatus. The homegrown players, who had a break for calendar reasons and their encounter with Huétor Tájar was postponed, are to host Loja, who are the current runners-up in group IX ‘A’ within fourth-tier Tercera Division. The match is going to be played on Sunday (4:30 p.m. CET) at the Anexo training ground next to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium.

One month has gone since the last time the Rojiblancos defended their home fiefdom, given that they had to face two matches away in a row —Maracena and Poli Almería—before that unavoidable pause within the championship.

Almeria ‘B’ won big to stun rivals Polideportivo Almeria in their last derby with three sensational goals involved (0-3) so that it is expected that the lads’ positive run continues next Sunday. Regarding the next opponents CD Loja, who are a well-known experienced team in this league level, not surprisingly they managed to reach the second spoti inthe table after 4 matchdays.

Fernando Santos, 'Nandinho', has not let the match official know his squad list yet since the boy’s head coach is still waiting to find out the name of those players with daily routine along with the first team who will be up for grabs in the end. In the same way, it is likely the presence of some Almeria Under-19s ‘A’ youngsters.

The kick-off time for the Almería ‘B’ and Loja game is set for 4:30 p.m. CET on Sunday. The battlefield will be the Anexo training ground next to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium. The meeting will take place held behind closed doors complying with the protocol against Covid-19. Anyway, there is some good news for friends, family and supporters as the game will be broadcast live on the streaming platform Footters.
