UD Almería 'B' seek redemption against Águilas FC: time to turn the tide

The Rojiblancos are aiming for first home win after two consecutive losses as promotion race intensifies

UD Almería 'B' will look to make it third time lucky when they host Águilas FC this Sunday at 12pm at the UD Almería Anexo ground. After suffering defeats in their first two home matches, the youthful Rojiblancos are determined to bounce back and claim a much-needed victory against another promotion contender.

With a squad that has undergone significant changes, UD Almería 'B' have struggled to find form, registering just one win over Atlético Malagueño and 3 losses in their opening 4 fixtures. A heavy defeat to Deportivo Minera last time out has left the team looking to recover quickly, as Matchday 5 approaches.

Head coach Alberto Lasarte is fully aware of the team's need for improvement, saying: 'We must make amends and win at home. It's not normal for us, nor is it normal to have only one goal in our favour. We're very prepared to face the match.'

Mr Lasarte also provided insight into the challenge posed by Águilas FC, a team with a solid and experienced squad, stating: 'They're very tough, solid, experienced, fighting to stay at the top and have important players in attack. They're a typical team in the division, but one we can beat if we play things right.'

UD Almería season-ticket holders can attend the match free of charge by presenting their season card.
