Almería acquires an advanced emergencies command post vehicle

The fully equipped vehicle is intended for Spain Civil Defense. The club continues to help fight coronavirus with the charitable donation of Turki Al-Sheikh

Almería continues to contribute to the fight against coronavirus in Almeria with the donation of 1,200,000 euros made by the owner and president ofthe club, Turki Al-Sheikh. In this sense, the Rojiblanco club has now acquired an advanced emergencies command post vehicle. 

The fully equipped vehicle is intended for Spain Civil Defense. In fact, it offers better control and coordination of troops and actions in affected areas in situations such as the one we are living at the moment. 

UD Almería Foundation and Almeria City Council have drawn up an action plan. The club has already acquired a portable X-ray machine, modular multiparameter monitors with pulse oximetry for ICU intended for hospitals in Almeria and the rest of the province, as well as 900,000 nitrile gloves, 41,000 face masks (30,000 N95 and 11,000 3-layer) and 7,000 waterproof surgical gowns. All these medical supplies will be delivered to healthcare professionals and essential service workers in hospitals and nursing homes in Almería and employees working for Almeria City Council and the Diputacion de Almeria (Provincial Government). 

Moreover, UD Almeria has also donated 100,000 euros to Red Cross Almeria so as to aid feed hundreds of vulnerable families across Almeria and has launched a contact centre to offer assistance to all those affected by Covid-19, in addition to reaching out to the 1,600 Almeria season-ticket holders who are over 60 years old in order to check on their health status and inquire about their current situation during lockdown. Also, the UD Almería Foundation volunteers have begun to distribute 2,895 kilos of basic needs hundred families who have contacted the call centre launched by the Rojiblanco club and has begun to distribute almost 3,000 kilos of food among families affected by the pandemic.
