All hand on deck as UD Almería train for attack & defence scenarios

The Rojiblancos prepare for Friday's match against UD Ibiza, undefeated since the arrival of new head coach Paco Jémez. Dyego Sousa’s end-of-recovery is imminent

UD Almería continue with their preparations for Friday’s home match against UD Ibiza (kick-off 9pm Spain Time/ Matchday 26). It will be the fifth game of the second round of the competition in which the Rojiblancos are on a winless streak and have only picked up 1 point unluckily. But the time for reaction has come! There is a desire, a great desire to reverse the situation more than ever when players are recovering after so many absences In January.

UD Almería know what the right path is in order to get 3 points at a time so they are focusing on drills to help them train for attack & defence scenarios improvement. Now it is particularly difficult for the Rojiblancos to score goals, and on the contrary, they are shipping goals, considering that they reached the halfway point of the season being the top scoring team and the one who conceded the least in the second tier. There are actually some details to correct and sort out so what is needed is an ‘all hands on deck’.

The footballers have exercised this Wednesday at the Anexo training base and later, their training session follow-up continued at the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium. Daniel Carriço has been back on his feet since last Tuesday and now it is Dyego Sousa’s turn to join in, who has participated in part of the practice as his end-of-recovery is imminent. Lazo is still on the sidelines, but the left-winger is nearing the end of his recovery as well.

Behind-closed-doors training will be delivered at the Juegos Mediterráneos Stadium this Thursday evening so as to complete preparations ahead of a match against undefeated opponents since their new head coach Paco Jémez is in the driving seat. In fact, they have wrapped up 3 wins and a draw with a balance of 15 goals for and 5 against.
