Alex Muñoz becomes the UD Almería's second summer recruit for the 2025/26 season after the signing of striker Patrick Soko. He will strengthen the left-back position thanks to his experience. Alex has played more than 300 professional matches, 227 of them in the Spanish second division.
Last season, the second addition played in the LaLiga EA Sports for UD Las Palmas featuring in 21 fixtures and netting 3 goals. He also played in the Spanish Cup tournament. Alex previously played for Levante UD, CD Tenerife, Real Zaragoza, Sevilla FC and Hércules de Alicante.
Alejandro José Muñoz Miguel was born on 30 July, 1994 in the Alicante-based town of San Juan. He played in the youth teams of Alicante FC and Hércules CF, playing for the latter in Segunda at the age of 19. Later, he moved to the Sevilla's youth Academy to play for their 'B' team in the second tier. Then, Real Zaragoza (1 season and 17 matches), CD Tenerife (3 seasons and 99 matches), and Levante UD (2 campaigns and 75 matches) were his next destinations before signing for UD Las Palmas last season.
