Álex Centelles: "We'll give it our all for the crest"
The UD Almería left-back shares his thoughts on UDA Radio on difficult moment that the team is going through and their total commitment ahead of the next encounter against Sevilla FC in LaLiga EA Sports next Monday at the Power Horse Stadium
UD Almería left-back Álex Centelles sat down with the Club's official radio station to talk about the next match they will have to face in LaLiga EA Sports against Sevilla FC next Monday and also to assess the difficult situation that the team is going through. 'The match in Vigo was a key appointment because we were facing the rivals who sit just above relegation, but we have to fight until the numbers say otherwise. We have to go game by game.,' he explained.
Furthermore, the 24-year-old confessed that 'we were very screwed,' but he says: 'The head coach told us that we must move forward, not give up and give everything up to the last drop of sweat for the fans. We wear a crest and an image and we have to give one hundred percent.'
Regarding Monday's match against Sevilla FC at the Power Horse Stadium, the Valencia native stated: 'They'll come with a good team dynamic, but we're at a point where we have to look at ourselves. It's in these situations where you see the real players. We must come out onto the pitch as we've done in many games against great teams and try to achieve victory.'
Centelles also opened up about the atypical season they are experiencing and assured: 'It's being a season of great anxiety. When the victory comes we'll take a weight off our shoulders and we'll say 'at last', because we think that it seems incredible that we haven't won yet; Although it may be a little late, we're professionals.'
In addition, the UD Almería defender added: 'No one expected this, it's being such a strange campaign… the fact that we don't win a game when we're performing well against the high-level and Champions League teams… as I say, we're very surprised by this situation.'
To conclude, Álex Centelles sent a message to the UD Almería 12th Man, who are suffering so much this season: 'We can't ask them for anything else, they're giving us everything and we have a thorn in our side for not being able to give them a victory. We're going to continue fighting for them.'
