Álex Centelles brings an end to 6 seasons as a Rojiblanco

The left-back leaves UD Almería following the expiry of his contract after making 135 appearances across league, promotion play-offs and Spanish Cup competitions

Álex Centelles has brought his 6-year spell with UD Almería to an end following the expiry of his contract with the Club.

The left-back leaves after making 135 competitive appearances for the Rojiblancos across LaLiga, Segunda, the promotion play-offs and the Spanish Cup, consistently demonstrating professionalism, commitment and dedication throughout his time in red and white.

Centelles joined UD Almería ahead of the 2020/21 season on a 6-year contract and now embarks on a new chapter in his footballing career.

The Valencia-born defender played an important role throughout his time at the Club, with his standout campaign coming in 2024/25. That season, he made 36 appearances in LaLiga Hypermotion, featured in 4 Spanish Cup matches and played in both promotion play-off semi-finals against Real Oviedo.

During the recently concluded 2025/26 campaign, Centelles made 22 league appearances and featured twice in the Copa del Rey.

His contribution grew steadily throughout his time at UD Almería. He played a key role in the club's promotion-winning 2021/22 campaign before going on to make 29 appearances across the following two seasons in LaLiga, in addition to representing the Club in the Copa del Rey.

UD Almería would like to thank Álex Centelles for his professionalism, commitment and dedication over the past 6 seasons. The Club wish him every success and happiness in the next chapter of his footballing career.
