Alex Centelles celebrates 100 UD Almería appearances
The left-back has played his 100th game in red and white stripes in the match against SD Eibar at the Ipurua Stadium. The Valencia-born has been at the Club for 5 seasons
Alex Centelles has also joined the '100 Club' by making 100 appearances wearing the UD Almería shirt. He did so in the match played this Friday against SD Eibar at the Ipurua stadium. It was his 31st appearance for the team this season: 27 in the league and 4 Spanish Cup ties.
Si far the 25-year-old has netted two goals and produced three assists. The left-back, 25 years old - he was born in Valencia on 30 August, 1999 - has been at UD Almería for 5 seasons. He signed as a Rojiblanco in the 2020/21 season, in which he played 15 games, 13 in the second-tier league, 1 in the promotion play-off, and another in the Spanish Cup.
In 2021/22, in which he earned promotion to the top flight of Spanish football, he featured in 22 Segunda games and in 1 Spanish Cup tournament.
In 2022/23, competing in the elite football, he was lined up in 16 fixtures, 15 in the league (one goal) and 1 in the Cup. The following season, 2023/24, he was lined up 14 times in the Primera division and once in the Cup tournament.
In the current season, he has already played 31 games, with an important contribution not only in the defensive aspect, but also in the offensive one since apart from operating as a full-back, he has also done so in more advanced positions on the left wing.
