Alberto Lasarte: 'We want to take the lead role from the first game'
The Almería-born UD Almería 'B' head coach thinks that the play-off tie for promotion against Atlético Malagueño will be long and can be resolved in the second leg
'We want to take the lead role from the first game,' stated UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte as he was looking to the start of the play-offs for promotion to Segunda RFEF, in whose first round the UDA Academy Rojiblancos will face Málaga CF 'B' team Atlético Malagueño. The first leg will be played at 12 noon this Sunday at the Power Horse Stadium and although the youthful Indálicos intend to get the encounter back on track. The head coach predicted 'a long tie that can be resolved in the second leg.'
The UD Almería 'B' head coach considers that the battle between the Andalusian'B' team's will be 'interesting because we're two young, fresh teams, with good football proposals…It can be a great show.'
His players will face it with highest motivation, especially 'how much we have a thorn in our side with Atlético Malagueño. It's one of the rivals who 'we haven't beaten in both matches in the regular season,' which is another incentive for the Rojiblancos
For Mr Lasarte, UD Almería reach the play-off 'at their electric best in the season, after having wrapped up 8 victories in the last ten games. We tied in Mancha Real and we lost, undeservedly to Real Jaén.'
The gaffer of the UD Almeria 'B' team reflected: 'The Club, the fans, all the employees are dedicated to this game. We'll all be here on Sunday with all our enthusiasm and our spirit. I believe that the people, the fans, are going to feel fully involved. That's why it's one of the reasons for opening the Stadium because I reckon there will be a great attendance. The fans are going to be with us. We need their backing. We've been working with them for many years. There are the good results. We're watching them play in the Primera Division, They're being called up to the U19, U20 national teams... and they're from here (Almería). That's why I think they need the support and they're going to have it one hundred percent.'
