Alberto Lasarte takes charge of UD Almeria on an interim basis

The UD Almería B head coach are training the senior team temporarily and will lead the Rojiblancos on Sunday against Granada CF at the Power Horse Stadium

UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte, takes charge of the UD Almería senior team on an interim basis until the Club appoints  a new head coach to replace former coach Vicente Moreno.

The 42-year-old coach from Jaén has been at the helm of the UD Almería first team since last Thursday and this Sunday, he wil sit in the dugout during the match against rivals Granada CF (KO 2pm Spanish Time/ Matchday 8/ LaLiga EA Sports) at the Power Horse Stadium.

Mr Lasarte has a long career as a head coach and he joined the UD Almería lower ranks in the summer of 2018. Last season, he was in charge of UD Almería U19 'A', competing in the Division de Honor Nacional division, who were runners-up to Real Madrid CF  U19 in the Spanish Cup U19. It was certainly a great achievement!

Alberto Lasarte is in the driving seat of the UD Almería 'B' this term. The 'B' team remains undefeated in Group IX of the Tercera RFEF. Along with Alberto Lasarte, there are in-house backroom team members, who operate as assistants in the training sessions and now in the preparation for Sunday's Andalusian derby against Granada CF.

After the recovery session last Wednesday, Thursday and this Friday, UD Almería have trained behind closed doors at the Power Horse Stadium, where they are meeting again at 1pm local time this Saturday (a similar time to the kick-off with the Granadinistas) for the last practice prior to Sunday's test.
