Aitor Buñuel back into the fold after more than 2 months
The right-back has not yet been given the all-clear. The UD Almería squad begin to prepare for SD Huesca's visit to the Mediterraneo
UD Almería right-back Aitor Buñuel has rejoined the group training sessions after just over two months absence. The Navarra native player sustained an injury back on 12th September (Matchday 5) during the game against SD Ponferradina. It was a right knee injury that did not require surgery but required a long-term recovery.
The medical services have shortened the initial recovery period. The footballer has not been given the all-clear yet as it will depend on how he is coping in training. So far, he is in good spirits.
After two days off the clock, UD Almeria are back in training to start preparations ahead of the next league match that will see SD Huesca coming down south on Saturday for a 6:15pm kick-off at the Mediterráneo. It will be the second consecutive match at home against rivals of undoubted potential. It is expected to be a highly competitive battle.
Head coach Rubi will not be able to count on Samú Costa as he has to serve a one-game ban. The Portuguese, with the Club's permission, has not exercised this Tuesday morning, although he will do so in the afternoon. In addition, Robertone has trained on the sidelines and his availability will depend on how he is doing throughout the week.
This Wednesday (10:30am) the Rojiblancos squad will be getting back to the training office. Friday and Saturday’s football practices will be held behind closed doors.
