Baba: 'Now we have to push even harder'
The UD Almería central midfielder says: 'Everything will be decided in the final 10 games' as UD Almería stay focused on promotion push to the top flight
Iddrisu Baba has stressed that UD Almería must raise their level even further as the season enters its decisive phase, insisting that 'now we have to push much harder than before' with 'everything to be decided in the final 10 games of the campaign'.
Speaking to the Club’s official radio station, the Ghanaian central midfielder struck a cautious but confident tone. 'A lot can still happen between now and the end,' he said, while underlining his belief in the team’s chances. 'We have to trust in our work and stay united. That’s the track we’re on and the one we must maintain. It’s the momentum that will take us to our objective,' he added.
The 30-year-old player also highlighted the importance of the supporters, making it clear that unity extends beyond the dressing room. 'Without the fans, everything becomes even more difficult than it already will be. The team playing on home soil always has the home advantage and we need to make the most of that,' Baba noted.
UD Almería now face a demanding week with 3 fixtures, but Baba remains confident in the squad depth: 'We're a very complete squad. Everyone is working at the highest level and anyone is ready to play.'
Looking ahead to the fixture in Castellón, the Ghanaian expects a major test. 'It'll be a great game. They're also fighting for promotion and will be playing in front of their fans. We must stay fully focused and keep up the same level we’ve shown in recent performances, like against SD Huesca and Real Sociedad 'B'.'
