Samú Costa agrees terms to join RCD Mallorca

The Portuguese defensive midfielder joined UD Almería in the past 2020/21 season

UD Almería have completed the transfer of Samú Costa to RCD Mallorca after the agreement reached by the Portuguese footballer with the Bermellón club. He now leaves the Rojiblancos squad even though he had three remaining years in his deal.

Samú Costa, 22 years old, arrived at UD Almería in the 2020/21 season on loan from Lusitanian side SC Braga and at the end of the season, his option-to-buy clause was activated. In the three seasons that the Portuguese has played in red and white stripes, he has played a total of 113 matches. In his first term, he featured in 35 LaLiga Segunda Division; two play-off for promotion ties and 3 Copa del Rey ties. In the following 2021/22 season, when promotion was earned, he was lined up twice in the Spanish Cup tournament and 38 times in the league. Last campaign, he played 32 top division fixtures and 1 Spanish Cup tie.

UD Almería would like to thank Samú Costa for his professionalism and absolute commitment during his time at UD Almería. The Club also wishes him the best of luck in his new chapter.
