Active Recovery workout before focusing on Málaga CF
The UD Almería players trained this Monday at the Anexo before having Tuesday off and resuming training on Wednesday
The UD Almería first teamers returned to training after the ‘painful defeat’ suffered in Lezama (Basque Country), as head coach Rubi commented after the game. Monday was an active recovery day for those players who got more minutes against SD Amorebieta, while the rest of the footballers exercised more intensively in a bid to adjust the team training overall workload.
The squad members are going to be off duty on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they will be exercising again at the training base, the Anexo (9:30 am). The training sessions on Thursday and Friday evening will take place behind closed doors at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium.
Juan Villar, who is still recovering from his injury, continues to be out of action and Rubi will not be able to count on Robertone either, as the Argentinian midfielder was sent off in Lezama. Portillo and Juanjo Nieto sat out the game against SD Amorebieta, both with muscular discomfort; the Malaga-born player has already worked on the pitch, while the full-back underwent physio treatment, so their availability remains a doubt.
