Active recovery to recharge the batteries before first post-Covid-19 home game against Las Palmas

Almería trained as soon as they got back from Albacete and the squad will be exercising at 7 p.m. in the stadium on Tuesday

La Liga returned to action with games to be played behind closed doors every 72 hours so the pace will be frantic during the next month and a half. As a result, preparing each and every game is as important as recovering from the previous one so as to have the batteries recharged before the next match. This is exactly what UD Almería did on Monday. First thing in the morning, they landed in Almeria after flying charter from Albacete. The squad headed straight for the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium from the airport to get back to training.

An active recovery session including low-intensity exercises was in store for the players, especially for those who played the most minutes at Carlos Belmonte yesterday. The others, who had already worked the evening before in the La Mancha pitch after the meeting, exercised more intensely instead. The players’ target was keeping their average workload to offset and make progress with their workouts. The footballers finished the recovery session feeling refreshed, energised, and ready for the next day’s training.

UD Almería are training on Tuesday (7 p.m.) at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium; this time, they will focus on preparing themselves in a tactical practice for the upcoming home game against UD Las Palmas. The next fixture is taking place on Wednesday, 17th June at 7:30 p.m. and it will be the first home match at Mediterraneo in this new stage of the competition.
