A positive case of Covid-19 prompts Almeria Women’s next fixture cancellation

The girls, who were supposed to travel to Cadiz, will get tested again to make sure there is no more positive cases.

The match between Cádiz CF Women and UD Almería Women has been postponed by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) after a positive PCR result for Covid-19 within the girls’ squad has been notified. As a result, a new protocol has been put in place by the Rojiblancas club in which four days after the contact with somebody who caught the virus, the players will have to undergo new tests to make sure there is no more contagion.

Meanwhile, the Club has brought Almeria Women’s training to a halt until further coronavirus tests are carried out among the members of the squad and the coaching staff, as well as the end of the mandatory quarantine periods.

The player, who has tested positive for coronavirus, is self-isolating at home with no symptoms so far.
