Lopy returns for Sporting clash as Bonini and Marcos Luna miss out
UD Almería regain the midfielder for Gijón trip, but suspensions rule out defender pair for key away fixture
UD Almería will welcome back Dion Lopy for their penultimate LaLiga Hypermotion match of the season away to Sporting de Gijón on 24 May at El Molinón-Enrique Castro Quini.
The Senegalese midfielder is available again after serving a one-match suspension for yellow-card accumulation, handing head coach Rubi a timely boost ahead of the trip to Asturias.
However, UD Almería will be without two defensive options. Centre-back Bruno Bonini is suspended after being sent off for two bookings in the previous match. Having already been one booking away from a ban, the dismissal means he will also carry his four yellow cards into the next fixture.
Moreover, right-back Marcos Luna is also unavailable after receiving his fifth yellow card of the campaign, triggering an automatic one-match suspension.
The squad held a recovery session on Sunday before being given Monday off. Training resumes on Tuesday, with 5 training sessions scheduled as the Rojiblancos prepare for the trip to Gijón for one of the final fixtures of the league season.
