6-0: Almeria ‘B’ steal the show with six-goal thriller

CD Intergym Melilla take a severe drubbing at the hands of high-flying UD Almeria ‘B’, who show total superiority at ‘Tito Pedro’

The Pedro Pérez (Tito Pedro) ground hosted an electric game played by the UD Almería ’B’ players, who showed an astonishing superiority sweeping CD Intergym Melilla aside (6-0).

Head coach Óscar Fernández made a change in the starting XI with respect to the game played in Marbella: Hugo Neves started, Cuenca operated as central defender and Fermín played as left-back given that Ginés remained benched.

It was a nil-nil game but 25 minutes in, the talented young Rojiblancos opened the scoring though a perfect move by Caballero, who assisted Gilbert (1-0).

The ‘B’ team hosts came flying out of traps and forced keeper into a handful of saves creating big chances. Caballero, who made a great play on the wing, put it on a plate for Hugo Neves, who was ready to fire home the second (2-0). Shortly after, the No. '9' was the author of 3-0 after a very good action by team-mate Rojas.

The Almería ‘B’ contenders were adding more energy and forward drive during the second period too. Óscar Fernández had decided that Lokosa would enter after the restart and the first thing the Nigerian player did was applying that finishing touch. It was 4-0 within 50 minutes.

The Rojiblancos goal-scoring opportunities did not stop! Every time the lads had the ball at their feet, real danger approached the visiting defence. In fact, in the 67th minute, Kevin extended their lead by shooting powerfully from the edge of the box after a counter-attack led by Hugo Neves (5-0).

The Indalicos team continued to dig in firing warning shots with Raúl Caballero in charge of putting his name onto the scoresheet once again (6-0) and take the heat up a notch at the Tito Pedro ground. The forward was on fire putting in a five-star performance, scoring two goals and providing two great assists.

UD Almería ‘B’ notched up their 3rd back-to-back victory in the Tercera Division RFEF (Group IX) sitting comfortably at the top of the group IX table.
