4-1: UDA 'B' suffer surprising defeat to San Fernando CD

The UD Almería Academy prospects experience the hardest defeat of the season in a match that they were trailing 2-0 after a quarter of an hour. At half-time, the final score was 4-1. The team are still in the promotion play-off positions

UD Almería 'B' lost in a surprising way against San Fernando CD at the Estadio Iberoamericano Bahía Sur, although not because of the fact that they were defeated, but because of how they lost. The 4-1 result is the worst result that the 'B' team have suffered this season, but despite the tough score the boys are still 4th in the standings, in the promotion play-off positions.

The UDA Academy prospects are at the top of their game this season in the competition because in their tier debut and with a very young squad, they are fighting to move up, although it is not the main objective, far from it. They are there, fighting for their reliability. However, everything went wrong in San Fernando to the point that every time the hosts came close to the Indálicos' goal, they scored with the ease they found.

In the 7th minute they opened the scoring and although the 'B' team then enjoyed two clear chances to equalise through Joan, shortly after, in the 14th minute, another goal by San Fernando thus put the game back on track.

It seemed that Lorenzo's goal in the 23rd minute (2-1) might have given rise to a reaction, but it was a mirage. The Cádiz-based side, who went into the break with what would be the final score of 4-1, did not overwhelm Alberto Lasarte's youth team, nor was their dominance absolute, even though it may seem so due to the thrashing. UD Almería 'B' were very imprecise and insecure, giving many opportunities to their opponents, who should not be deprived of praise because they have gone 9 consecutive games without losing.

The second half, with everything decided, the UD Almería 'B' team tried and tried, but they could do nothing.
