4-0: UD Almería Women stay top with another dominant victory
The Rojiblancas defeat CD PFC Málaga Women in the rescheduled fixture postponed on 8 February due to adverse weather conditions
UD Almería Women are now fully up to date in the league calendar after playing their outstanding fixture against CD PFC Málaga Women, which had been postponed on 8 February due to severe weather conditions across the province and the wider Andalusian region.
The Rojiblancas delivered another commanding performance, securing a 4-0 victory to remain firmly at the top of the table with a 9-point advantage. They also hold a 6-point lead over Sevilla FC 'B', pacesetters of the other Andalusian group.
This is a key factor as the season enters its decisive phase. With just 5 matches remaining in the regular campaign, only the best team in Andalusia will earn the opportunity to compete in the promotion play-offs for a place in the higher division.
Against the Málaga-based side, the Indálicas produced a mature, hard-working display, controlling the tempo and gradually imposing their superiority to extend their unbeaten run and reinforce their leadership.
The starting XI was formed by Andrea, Marina, Lucía, Blanca, Érika, Jessi, Ángela, Cayenata, Marisa, Romero and Paqui Campoy. Miriam, Carlota, Inés, Aitana and Marta also contributed from the bench.
Romero led the way with a great brace, while Jessi and Lucía added the finishing touches to complete an emphatic 4-0 triumph.
The Rojiblancas continue their determined march towards promotion.
