3-4: UD Almería Women cannot beat CF La Nucía in eventful match

The red and white team began to take the lead, but five minutes of disconnection in the first half made the rest of the match very difficult

UD Almería Women failed to win this Sunday and continue extending their unbeaten streak. The Indálicos put themselves in front with an opener booted by Fátima, however, in the last 5 minutes of the first half, the UDA girls conceded three goals that made the game really difficult for them. In the second half, the result increased to 1-4, yet the UD Almeria players were close to tying. In the 81st minute Jessi netted, in the 86th minute, Marisa earned her name onto thw scoresheet and in stoppage time they grabbed the leveller, but it could not be in the end.

The Indálicas started the first half on the right foot, putting pressure on the rivals through effective passing that led to dangerous situations. During the first 20 minutes, UD Almería Women tried their luck with good scoring opportunities, however, the visitor goalie blocked all efforts. What she does not save was Fátima's opener in the 28th minute which put the UD Almeria girls ahead by winning a one-on-one situation.

From there, everything went downhill, in the 40th minute the guests tied after a corner kick, in the 42nd minute, they broke the deadlock and in stoppage time, with another corner kick, they made it 1 -3. Of course, they were five minutes to forget in which the UD Almeria Women players saw how they lost their advantage, remaining two goals behind.

In the second half, the Indálicas came out in search of reversing the situation as soon as possible and in fact, Jessi had a one-on-one shortly after the start in order to have narrowed the gap, but she would not be successful. The Rojiblancas continued trying by all means, but another blow would come, in the 75th minute. CF La Nucía gals found the back of the net to earn a temporary convincing victory 1-4.

Despite this setback, UD Almeria Women did not give up as they continued looking for the goal and in the 81st minute, Jessi pulled one back 2-4 and then Marisa followed suit in the 86th minute to make it 3-4. They all believed in the tie again and in stoppage time they had it, they had the chance to tie with a free-kick taken from the edge of the area, but it narrowly missed and the final whistle was blown. The Rojiblancas we're narrowly defeated and said goodbye to their unbeaten streak to 10.
