3-3: UD Almería Women never give up
The Rojiblancas found themselves outplayed by the Albacete girls but managed to find the way to peg them back three times to take a share of the spoils. The UDA girls are on an 8-game unbeaten run
UD Almería Women are now on a 8-game unbeaten run by showing, in each and every match, that they never give up. In this match against Albacete Women, who put themselves in front three times, the Indalicas managed to peg them back and take a share of the spoils in an electric match.
The match was not going to start well at all for the the Rojiblancas since the Albacete players took the early lead, in the 3rd minute. An initial misunderstanding by the Indalicas that the La Mancha team knew how to take advantage of to start on the front foot. This goal activated UD Almería Women and around the quarter-hour mark, both Fátima and Paqui tried their luck from the edge of the area, but without luck. This continued until the 32nd minute, when Carla, with a stunner, tied the game. With that result of 1-1 the end of the first half was reached.
The second period began exactly the same as the first, literally, minute 3 and Albacete Women broke the deadlock. Once again, the girls of Almería had to pluck up the courage to try to turn the match around. They began to create danger and yet again, they managed to level things up, with Moreno earning her name onto the scoresheet. UD Almería Women continued to press high in search of completely turning the game around and did not cease their efforts, however, Albacete Women struck again and in the 26th minute, they made it 3-2.
The UDA girls had to step up a gear in a bid to try to equalise and they did inside 40 minutes, Moreno slotted home to make it 3-3 in an electric match. The Rojiblancas have not lost 8 games.
