3-2: Spain U21 gear up for European U21 Championship at the Power Horse Stadium

The Spanish team beat Switzerland U21 in front of 10,000 attendees who created a rocking atmosphere. Head coach Santi Denia thanked the support of the UD Almería fans

Spain U21 beat Switzerland U21 3-2 at the Power Horse Stadium in the first friendly match for the final stage of the European under-21s Championship to be held from 21 June to July in Georgia and Romania, a tournament in which the Spanish players will try to lift another title.
 
UD Almería collaborated in organising the international meeting that was greatly enjoyed by 10,016 spectators. It was a large attendance considering that no tickets were sold in the West stand. The match pulled in the crowds due to the quality of the Spanish under-21s with a bright future ahead of them who play in the top flight: Almeria-born Alex Baena from Villarreal CF, Valencia CF player Guillamón, who competed in the Qatar world Cup and Real Betis player Rodri, among others.
 
La Rojita came back from behind twice against the Swiss to win 3-2 in the dying embers of the match. The UD Almería fans rooted for the Spanish team at all times creating a rocking atmosphere at Power Horse Stadium. In fact, Spanish coach Santi Denia, who debuted at the helm of the under-21s highlighted during the post-match presser that the strong support from the fans had been key to beating the Swiss.
